Verse of the Day: WWJD?

Ephesians 5: 1-2

“Therefore be imitators of God as dear children. And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us, and offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling aroma.” (NKJV)

“Imitate God, therefore, in everything you do, because you are His dear children. Live a life filled with love, following the example of Christ. He loved us and offered Himself as a sacrifice for us, a pleasing aroma to God.” (NLT)

This verse reminds me of the famous quote, “What Would Jesus Do?”.

How glorious is He who tells us of His absolute perfection, that we may only strive to become more like Him every day.

Jesus set the perfect example to follow. Look to Him and His reactions, His words, His heart! And although we strive to chase after His ways, I have to tell you, His life was not glamorous. Quite the opposite, in fact.

He walked with the simplest of clothes, without a house, or money! He was ridiculed, beaten, mocked, scorned, disappointed, weary, tired, etc., etc. And still yet, what an amazing life to be lived.

Therefore walk in love, friends, and count each blessing that He gives!

Whatever you’re going through, know that you have the same spirit that He does! A spirit of endurance, of hope, of love. Thank you Lord!
